Leeds-based waste management company Waste Care has acquired E Pease & Son, an industrial packaging firm, for an undisclosed sum.

Waste Care specialises in hazardous waste collection and disposal and it aims to increase its collection arm by this acquisition. Pease reconditions and recycles intermediate bulk containers and Waste Care hopes to use these containers to supply its existing client base. In the future Waste Care will trade as Pack Care.

Chief executive Peter Hunt said: “Our mission is to offer low-cost compliance for most types of hazardous and difficult waste and this deal will enable us to extend our services to existing customers as well as into new business sectors.”

Pease technical director Phil Pease added: “We will be the only company offering to collect all types of industrial container for a fixed cost from anywhere in the country – regardless of the quantity, content and condition of the containers concerned.”
